PLANNING: Analysis of original video

As you can see, the original music video is mainly about Doolittle indoors having fun with her friends. Our video will not be set indoors, we will be around London, such as Trafalgar Square and Lee Valley Park. We want our viewers to get a sort of 'free' vibe from it, since there's a lot of whistling and fast beats. The cinematography has been composed to show off the artists style, the camera shots such as the close ups are there to maybe establish her as an artist; to give her more screen time so she is recognized.

The mise en scene in this video stands out too, they have instruments such as the cello, drum kit etc. It makes them look like they're having a lot of fun just playing music and dancing along to it. The video has a quirky feel to it, not only is Eliza Doolittle quirky, but so is the people in the music video, such as the one dressed as a clown and the other lady playing around with a hula-hoop. There are also some humorous hints to the video, such as when the man is 'playing' the woman as a keyboard.

We are also going to try to add a humorous point to our music video, if we can put it across right. Since through out the MV, Eliza doesn't really have many costume changes, our 'singer' will be actually changing in and out of costumes (dresses). She is going to be wearing dresses with hats, and we are going to also add glasses too, so we can establish the quirky fun feeling of the music video, that we hope to produce.
